Happy Holidays from Studio Mirai!

December 2024 was a jam-packed month and one of a time of reflection. As the year drew to an end, we thought about all the incredible milestones we've reached and just how supportive our amazing community has been.

We'll need a post on its own to truly recap the whole year. We're in crypto, after all; a year here is like five years in TradFi. But let's go ahead and recap December.

One of the most exciting pieces of news was the announcement that Suilend was raising $6M. Many angels and organizations participated, including us! Our CTO shared the rationale behind this.

In December, we also hosted and sponsored Mirai Taipei, a collaboration with DA Capital and others. The Sui community enjoyed an exclusive evening at the renowned Golden Dragon Restaurant in Taipei's iconic Grand Hotel. Lots of alpha and vibes were shared, and it was our very own Kotaro's birthday.

Other highlights included updates to our Culture Fund. 2.5M LOFI was added to the fund, along with another 1M $TYPUS airdrop to incentivize long-term plans for community building and educational initiatives.

More notably, our flagship LST (mSUI) was listed on Bucket Protocol. If you've been paying attention, DeFi on Sui has been exploding, and platforms like Bucket are becoming the place to participate in Sui DeFi and earn yield on your SUI through LSTs like mSUI.

The neat thing about mSUI is that you don't have to deal with the friction of selling SUI or market conditions (SUI is pretty much up only at the time of writing). You can enjoy the staking benefits of SUI while your assets remain liquid and available for other uses across DeFi protocols. Even more so, it's also the gateway to the Studio Mirai ecosystem with cool perks like HQ access, which may be coming soon.

Lastly, it's not the festive season without a bit of holiday cheer.

As such, robots were recognized and were able to celebrate the Christmas and New Year seasons, too. About $100,000 in tokens from LOFI, TYPUS, ZEN, and KOTO were airdropped to Prime Machin holders, Enforcer Machin holders, and MiraiMart customers. Also, some robots are eligible for participating in the presale of BUT.

We appreciate everyone's contributions to our Culture Fund and just their support through owning a robot or using mSUI. We hope the holiday season was as enjoyable for you as it was for us. We're ready to kick off the New Year in full steam.
